Asslamo Allaikum,

To be very honest I think this Album is going to cause some problems for Deobandi/Tableeghi Ulama:

a) The constant mention of Ya Habibi/Ya Rasuli is going to be picked on immediately by the Barelwees etc…

b) Addressing to Rohe(soul of)-Muhammad [Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) in Allamah Iqbal (RA)’s poetry

c) Use of drum for background sound

d) Very bollywood’isitic

Awwam (public) and critics will cease on this and yes there are valid differences of opinion in Fiqh & most people will either be ignorant or will choose to ignore them (on purpose)…

a to d can be explained but people will just s n i g g e r & be sarcastic!

P.S: Its most certainly designed for Western audience, but in Pakistan/India this will be a bomb-shell!

As for his saying Ya Rasulullah, then it is permissible when said in qaseeda even according to deobandies.. Such use is seen in some verses from Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi r.a
