thanks for sharing.
'evidence of knowledge' leaves some room for interpretation. my first impression upon reading the comment was that obedience is proof of the fact that knowledge has been gained.
however, with a moments reflection is realized it could also mean that obedience is proof of the goodness of knowledge, i.e. true knowledge leads to obedience.
of course, both meanings need not be considered in isolation. and my feeling is that both meaning are generally true. the analogy with movement and vitality, however, seems to favor the first interpretation.
