George Galloway on Lebanon

This George Galloway interview is a classic. I have already received links to this interview from several people.

I love how Galloway doesnt let the interviewer define the frame of the discussion. Hence in the process he avoided being put on the defensive during the interview and was able to communicate his points.

I saw that and as a result I was and still am flabbergasted.
I cant believe Sky News didnt cut him off! I would think they would say, "Oh! Sorry, We seem to have had some sort of technical difficulty and lost our connection with Mr. Galloway. We'll resume our interview in due time. Meanwhile in other news, Babar the Elephant marks his 75th birthday, some still view the children's character as a symbol of oppression. HE HAS not changed his green suit since 1931 and has been called a racist and a reactionary, but Babar The Elephant is being fĂȘted as never before in France this summer, featuring in a government campaign and on postage stamps for his 75th birthday."

Galloway has some very good points to make, and we're not seeing them being raised in North American media when they should be. However, his angry and rude attitude and his personal attacks against the interviewer are totally unnecessary and don't win him any points in my book.

I agree with brother Ali. Galloway did have very important points, but really he was overly condescending and rude. I mean, there was a LOT of tension and emotion in this but still.

Some of my friends have posted about how they think he's Muslim. If so, then I say we shouldn't act like this if we are in an interview. I don't mean to judge him but I really didn't appreciate the way he spoke. I feel like he would have been more well received had he maintained an even tone that was decisive and clear but not mean. I mean, he had guts to say what he did but he did use ad hominem attacks which even in debate aren't useful and it wasn't fair.

Still, it did provoke some non-Muslims to rethink the situation and realize that maybe things aren't as cut and dry as they view them. I mean, some people do view Israeli lives as worth more. And the UN resolution is REALLY unfair. And America is TOTALLY wrong by sending missiles to Israel and are in violattion of their OWN arms ban. He had so much substance, just coulda had better delivery.
