For me it was a shock cause yes I was a fan of the ol' Junaid's music. However I was so happy when learnt that he has decided on singing Naats. And alas his first naat album is out. It is quite the album with naats like Jalwa-e-Janan based on the Burda and other amazin' Naats.
I would have never thought that Junaid could have changed so much. I guess in this lies a lesson for religious people , who are quick to condemn anyone ( and really bad communicating with them) who they perceive as less religious or knowledgeable then them and on the wrong path. As I have heard a top scholar says that our problems not only lie in people not turning to religon , it also lies in the arrogance of the religious.
I sometimes try to go to the sunnah and see how the Prophet ( Peace be upon him) dealt with people less religious ! I end by giving the example from the seerah of the man Urinating in the masjid?
The Bedouin man who came into the mosque and urinated in the corner. A group of the Sahaba became angry and started yelling at him. The Messenger of Allah (sallalahu aleyhi wa salaam), however, said, "“Do not interrupt him; leave him alone."” When the Bedu had finished, the Prophet (peace be upon him) spoke to him, teaching him that in the mosque, it was not proper to do these things. Then he told one of the Companions to bring a bucket of water and pour it over the place where the Bedu had urinated.

Assalam-o-alaikum, I have a friend from Pakistan who spent three days in jamat with Junaid Jamsheed. That was the first time Junaid Jamsheed had spent three days. I remember my friend telling me that he saw Junaid Jamsheed crying profusley in tahajud that night. Mashallah he has come a long way.

i came to know about junaid jumphed in this year (2006) only and i just read his article on the net, that is only the knowlegde about him but it has given so much inspiration to me towards din. he very fantastic fellow in his higher stage he left his career and select the real one. i am very proud of him. so i have taken an oath that my life is also to the way towards din. i really thanks Thableeqi jamaayath for their effort in whole world to make Islam more powerfull

Assalam O Elekum to all of you. First of all I want to say to all those brothers and sisters who are posting negative things about JJ is to really look inside yourself first. All I can say is that may Allah give us Hidayath to be better muslims to follow true path of Islam and Prophet Mohammad PBUH. I just want to make one request to those who think that JJ is a hypocrite and "Bahropi" is to please keep their close if they cannot say anything good about him because to say anything about a person which is not true is also a sin. Another humble request to all that please remember to use proper case when using "Allah's" name. I have seen in couple of posts that they type Allah with lower case "a" which I think we should be careful for. As all of us know that in karachi, lawn fabric has been used by the women for years.....its only now that it has become so thin that it hardly conceals the body.....i see girls standing in the sunlight...the fabric they wear is so seen through that it shows the contour of their legs.
We cant blame the girls only bcause these days its hard to find a thick cloth for shalwar......the sellers literally start shouting at me when i ask for a proper cloth.
I thought I could find a proper shalwar cloth at JJ's but was very disappointed whenn i cudnt.
Please Junaid bhai being a religious man try to take some action....Allah has given u a position that u can really bring a change in society.
Thats a sign of qayamat that girls will wear such clothes....

Bhai Junaid Jamshed is in England at the moment and has been performoing at various mosques. I have heard that a 'big event' is planned but havent been able to obtain the details. If anyone is aware, please share for the likes of me who have become hooked with his nasheeds.

I m really shocked with the Junaid's new album bdar u duja. It could have been much better without unnessesary backgrounds. Also one of the naat having music i don't know how Junaid justifies it afterall all his change was leaving the music.

Mashallah you have spent four months with jamaat. Jamaat tells us to respect the difference of opinion between Ullema. Regarding the photography and video, there is a big difference of opinion among the Ullema. eg. Mufti Taqi Usmani sahab is in favour of live video for the purpose of Dawat and spreading good. He is against photography though. But many Ullema from every school of thought have different stand on this issue.

U guys wont believe me but i ve just had breakfast with the wonderful guy "Junaid Jamshed".
He is in our area in karachi at a seh roza with few other people and for ur info, another famous celebrity is with him too whose name i would not like to disclose rite now.
It was wonderful experience meeting JJ. Since a child, i have been a great fan of him. Dil dil pakistan was no doubt my most favourite song ever.
Allah made my dream come true of meeting jj.
I ll be inshallah going again at zuhr to meet him.
I just wanna say that "The hidayat(path of righteousness) is from Allah alone; no celebrity, be it JJ can make someone follow the rite path.
I pray to Allah that the mentality of our youth is worked upon at the moment as the Fitnah is growing day by day.

Salams. May Allah give me hidayah, and all of us hidayah...ameen. JJ was in our neighbourhood of thorncliffe park, toronto, canada today. He gave a wonderful bayan and prior to today i didnt even know who he was. It was a remarkable story, and may allah almighty give us all the ability to go towards righteousness...Ameen. The brother has made some serious sacrifices.
Mashallah Junaid Jamsheed is the
best person which i have seen.
Every one in this world have to options to choose a right path or wrong path.

how can i define myself
i was the great sinner before two years, i was totally away from Islam especially Quran,Prayers and other religious practices. I never think about Allah you can say that i forget the life after death. I listen song too much Pakistani and Indian and JJ was my best singer before it.
But when i saw the revolution in life of JJ then i Think what would happen to my After Death and why JJ left this way.
then after Observations i realized that listening song ,watching films and playing video games is not the right way.
The right way is that which Allah has shown to Junaid Jamshaid.
And about anonymous who is saying about the past life of Junaid Jumshaid I think he never read of heard the History of Islam.
can he tell me the past life Of some Sahaba Karam.
Allah also said taht we should not be hopeless from his blessing.
take example of Your mother who never want to push you in Hell,so Allah who loves His creation 99 parts more than mother than do you think he will never forgive sin.
BE Realistic. Not criticize other change yourself Just like Junaid Jamshaid. Through Him Allah Has shown us that we can Allah change our self but one thing which is required!!!!!
