Imran Khan on Lal Masjid

Imran Khan sheds his light on the Lal Masjid issue ( and Pakistani Politics). I haven't heard a better articulated opinion than his on Lal Masjid:

- indeed the worst handling of the case
- I wonder if the method Imran Khan suggested would've worked if the supplies were stopped, or people would rather starve to death and claim to be shaheeds!? =\
- democratic system -- I wonder if politicians there really know how it works. Well, for now.. we just have to wait and see if THAT works, let alone that, see if and when it even comes =\
- Musharraf being an American puppet!? Hmmmm, funny but quite true. But I suspect that he was being one in the Laal masjid case though, not that you can't expect such a thing from him
- On our govt. being an Islamic one, hmmmmm.. gee man, I dont know. To me it seems "Islam in doubt"
- Oh so much talk and continues impairment of the state, people don't know who to trust and what to believe in anymore.

Response to some of your points:

-Not sure about cutting off supplies either but that would have surely been better than storming the masjid.
-Having grown up during Nawaz Sharif/BB period, I have to say that things werent much better then. I also wonder what works then? BUt I rathar not have a monarchy.

My feelings exactly ( though the presence intellects like Dr.Shahid Masood does spur up some hope for me)
